Heya and welcome back to Five Things Tech!
Today I have curated five stories for you that deal with the automotive industry, the consultant industry, the health industry, the energy sector and with streaming.
I find all five articles really interesting and I learned something from each and everyone.
So please read on and get a bit smarter! :)
VW Revs Up Rivian
VW still doesn’t know how to do software, hopefully this investment will lead them back on track.
The A.I. Boom Has an Unlikely Early Winner: Wonky Consultants
I did the first investments in AI startups back in 2015, so I see this development with plenty of irritation. Lots of people are jumping on the AI bandwagon and don’t have the faintest idea what AI really is and what it could do. Hire me instead of those consultants.
Pillbot: Swallowable tiny robot with thrusters performs endoscopy at home
This is just amazing. And it is just the beginning of plenty of cool health tech ideas.
Will We Ever Get Fusion Power?
“Despite decades of progress, it’s still not clear, even to experts within the field, whether a practical and cost-competitive fusion reactor is possible. A strong case can be made either way.” - so my guess is that this will continue to be something people are hopeful about, yet it will take some more decades.
Inside Netflix’s bet on advanced video encoding
Honestly, I didn’t know that video encoding was still such a challenge.
That’s all for now! Thanks for reading! If you missed last week’s Five Things Tech, you can find it here:

Great reads. I actually know someone at Rivian so that was particularly interesting.
