released his Tech-Optimist Manifesto this week and I think we should spend some time reading and comprehending it. We need to try understand how those people think to get an idea of the directions in which tech will be developing in the future. Silicon Valley is still calling the shots in tech, even though the rest of the world might not need what people in Silicon Valley think is worth exploring and investing in. The pure volume of money that gets poured into startups still leads to Silicon Valley outpacing every other corner of the world. Even though businesses in other parts of the world might face other problems, they still look for innovation in Silicon Valley. So pay attention to what Marc Andreesen writes.

I’m a techno-optimist myself. So I had to read this manifesto by one of the most important and most influential people in tech. Marc Andreesen developed the browser Mosaic that started the web revolution. But this manifesto leaves me a bit speechless. I don’t think technology will be the answer to everything.
