Five Things Tech: Quantum, Chinese Hackers, Tech Job Referrals, Microservices, Internet Future
Everything you should read about Tech right now.
Hello again, and welcome back to Five Things Tech!
Ok, I admit it: Quantum really fascinates me, even though I have no real clue how these refrigerator computer thingies actually work. But if we zoom out and look the big picture in Quantum research, I sure want the West to succeed in developing and putting to work Quantum computers. Otherwise, cyberattacks could happen on a much different level, as Quantum will possibly be able to break the current encryption. Also, cyberattacks are bad already, thanks to the Chinese hackers who get so much better at what they are doing. I wonder if they have the same staffing issues as big tech companies currently have? Even though Microservices have been around for while, there still not used everywhere at a level that would really make sense. Making sense of what is happening with the internet right now is pretty depressing as a lot of platforms are going down the drain just as Trump is getting his second presidency. It seems that Silicon Valley wants to appease him in any way possible, which will reflect negatively on the way we get to use the internet and its most used applications. It doesn’t look good currently.
Having said that, I’m really thankful for your continued support here at Five Things and I hope you enjoy the selection of articles I put together for this edition of Five Things Tech!
