Five Things Tech: Israeli Tech, Tesla, Defense Tech, No-Code Code, Perplexity
Everything you should read about Tech right now.
Hello again, and welcome back to Five Things Tech!
I spent most of this week in Tel Aviv at a conference for startup founders who want to connect with European founders. Even though I had just a tiny snapshot of the Tech ecosystem of Israel, it was quite amazing to experience Israeli Tech culture. Founders understand that technology is nothing without a working business model and so I had plenty of discussions not only about tech, but also on the go to market strategies, the prospective clients and how the company will make money. The vibrant tech scene is really something, much like Tallinn in Estonia. I spoke to many founders and investors about the way forward for the tech industry and they were as bullish as ever. Sure, the war in Gaza makes it harder to grow a startup when a founder has to serve as part of the reserves or when investors don’t want to fly to Israel. But nonetheless, Israeli tech is pushing forward and deals are being made. This is the power of an ecosystem which has been nurtured for many decades and which understands the power of technology for building new companies.
