Hello again, and welcome back to Five Things Tech!
Intel is a company that I find fascinating. Intel powered the digital revolution since the 80s and was on the forefront of innovation. Yet somehow they managed to fall behind in the innovation race and lost plenty of market share along the way. Currently, everybody talks about NVIDIA and Intel is only mentioned as a company that used to be the dominant player. In fact, the German government was counting on Intel to build a chip factory in Magdeburg and they offered 10 billion € to sweeten the deal. But now this has been postponed as Intel has to deal with mounting problems, innovation being one of them.
They should have listened to Andy Grove. Read about what happened at Intel in one of the five articles for today!
