Hello again, and welcome back to Five Things Tech!

This has been another fun week in tech with lots of stuff going on on both sides of the pond. There’s the EU fining Apple & Meta, there’s usage numbers from X, there’s of course the Google monopoly case and so much more. As somebody who has been using Google products ever since, it is kind of hard for me to see how my perfect setup will be modified when Google actually has to sell properties. I love the way all the products work together, which is much, much better than what’s going on at Microsoft, where everything remains confusing and with a crappy UX/UI. Anyhow, I do agree that Big Tech needs to be broken up, these companies have grown far too big and have far too much influence on the markets. One issue is obviously the lock-in effect they all have created, which we users mostly accept, but which has long term implications.

So in this edition of Five Things Tech we focus on Google, then have a look at space and why launching rockets into space remains so expensive. Then we learn more about neurons and quantum messages, before we take a peak into the future of aircrafts, which will be electrical.

Enjoy!
