Google is defending its payments to get to be listed as the default search engine in many environments on desktop and mobile. I still don’t see a real alternative, so I never really think about changing the default and when I do try a new search engine, I come back to Google after 5 minutes. How do you see this case?

If you like Five Things Tech, you'll like NMA Monday Alert - which will be in your inbox this Monday. So go ahead and subscribe this as well if you want to find out what we do at NMA - the premier hub for startup innovation in Europe!

These five articles were curated from all over the web and I think you should dive right in! If you haven’t subscribed yet, please do so now!

High-Tech Cars Might Be More Trouble Than They’re Worth

I don’t ask much of a car. It should have an easy way to connect to my iphone so I can listen to the stuff I like and easily choose the route I had planned before. Oh, and an AC as well as a panorama roof are nice. I think that’s reasonable and after four years I still haven’t figured out how to use the parking-assistant of my Mercedes, which always just pops up as an option when I’m done parking.

Every CEO Talks Like Elon Musk Now

It’s a sign of the times - the zero interest era is offer and things are getting tougher now even if you get to run a business that prints money. Maybe it’s especially complicated for those companies as they hired like crazy in the last decade. It’s still no need to yell at people or use derogatory language when talking about employees.

"Dr. Google" meets its match: Dr. ChatGPT

There will be amazing advances in health tech because of AI. Just as long as ChatGPT does get lots of basics wrong, I wouldn’t trust the machine completely with questions about health. Then again, I also would not rely on Google.

The rise of the new tech right

When focusing on the IQ, tech leaders will miss lots of creative input they need from their employees. I do sense this shift aways from the nice and easy leftist agenda back to a more controlled environment, but I don’t think this will will work out as planned for the tech elites.
