Five Things Tech: EUV Machine, Thorium, Net Neutrality, Flix, Tech Predictions
Happy New Year! This is what you should read right now.
Hello again, and welcome back to Five Things Tech!
The year has just started, but it seems as if Tech didn’t really enjoy much of a holiday break.
This week you’ll learn about a really cool piece of tech: an extreme ultraviolet lithography machine, which is not something you’ll find in just any chip factory. You can also read about Thorium and why China is planning to build a thorium molten-salt reactor and how this will probably make China less dependable on other countries when it comes to generating energy. Also, we unfortunately need to deal with net neutrality, again, which is something I have been advocating for since the dawn of time, but which has been under attack ever since large internet providers decided that it is unfair that they don’t make any money in the content business. The you’ll learn about a German startup called Flix that wants to turn around Greyhound and its old fleet of busses. Last, but certainly not least, you can read ten smart predictions for tech.
There’s a lot to unpack today, so just go ahead and read it all!
Enjoy! 🤖
