Five Things Tech: European Tech, Hand Gestures, WIFI Body Fingerprint, Youtube, Faust
Everything you should read about Tech right now.
Hello again, and welcome back to Five Things Tech!
Let’s slide into the weekend with five articles that cover recent developments in Tech! First of all, since I am based in Europe, let’s look at the current discussion about European Tech or tech sovereignty, which is a huge topic right now, as more and more lawmakers discover just how dependent the old continent is both from American Big Tech, but also Chinese tech. Would you like to use more hand gestures to control your devices? I sure don’t, but I still find the tech behind it interesting. What’s also interesting, but raises plenty of privacy concerns as well: a WIFI-based body fingerprint. Yes. So weird. Just imagine you go through a mall and all the wifi routers can identify you. How much Youtube do you watch per day? And how much do you watch it on your tv screen? Youtube is the new TV. And finally, let’s look a bit more at the Faustian bargain and tech.
Enjoy!
