Five Things Tech: EU AWS, EU vs Big Tech, Biocomputing, Unicorns, Atari Computer
Everything you should read about Tech right now.
Hello again, and welcome back to Five Things Tech!
These week we cover some big topics and we start with digital sovereignty, which is probably one of the hottest topics lawmakers talk about these days. Europe needs more independency, but that’s hard to achieve as Europe has neglected investing into hyperscalers for a long time. The other big topic is computing and we’ll focus on two interesting developments. One includes human cells and one fits an 1980s computer on little more than a stamp. Also, did you know that one in five unicorns still fail? I am amazed by that huge number as I thought the odds were much better once a startup has reached a validation of one billion $.
Anyhow, there’s lots to unpack in this edition of Five Things Tech. If you haven’t gone paid yet, this would be a good day to do so!
Enjoy!
