Five Things Tech: Apple, Quantum, Europe, Agents, Tesla
Everything you should read about Tech right now.
Hello again, and welcome back to Five Things Tech!
This was yet another fun week in tech. Alphabet’s stock dropped 7% when an Apple Exec talked about the drop in search seen on Safari browsers and also the possibility to replace Google as the default search engine with OpenAI instead.
I doubt that Google will be seriously threatened by this. And while I’m sure that search will change, I am pretty certain that Google understands that it has to cannibalize itself to stay afloat. Our muscle memory currently leads us to use Google as our search engine and so Google can change its offering bit by bit and nudge its users into adopting AI-based search from Google.
What do you think? How will Google need to change and what is Apple doing regarding AI? You’ll find some answers to the second question in this edition of Five Things Tech. But you have to speculate about Google’s fate yourself.
Enjoy!
