Heya and welcome back to Five Things Running!
Last Saturday I went to the red-light district of Hamburg, which is also the place where lots of music venues and bars are. Instead of drinking, I went running. New Balance hosted the Midnight Miles event and more than 300 people spent their Saturday night running around St. Pauli. It was great fun and the people who where around drinking and partying were happily cheering us on.
Well, enough about my running. Here are five articles you should read!
(and don’t forget to go paid, I need more running outfits, winter is coming.)

Running Through Injury: Why We Run Through Pain and How to Stop
Have you ever done that? Or all you all stopping when it hurts even if you have a race planned? Well, good for you. I’m really good at neglecting pain even though I know that it will be worse afterwards…
What We Learn From Tara Dower
“From Tara, we are reminded that the trope of the lonely distance runner is mostly false. We are vulnerable absent each other’s support, and we can travel much further together. This was perhaps especially true in Tara’s case. She had a team of pacers, planners, and people to assist with the logistics of eating and sleeping. But this is true for all of us. We are not self-caused. We depend on the people in our lives who support us — materially and emotionally.”
