This past week Elon Musk fired half of the staff at Twitter and created something like a textbook example of how not to treat employees and customers. It's like a train-wreck that's happening in slow-motion. And it will be interesting to see how this will effect social communications in the future. I guess we'll soon find out. Also, as a sidenote, Elon Musk decided to discontinue Revue, the software this newsletter runs on, by the end of the year. So Five Things will soon move to a different newsletter provider. Apart from this, we had a short work week here in Germany with a bunch of religious holidays in different states, but I guess the most important event was Halloween and not Reformation Day (bank holiday in Northern Germany) or All Hallows Day (bank holiday in other parts of Germany). It's interesting to see how Halloween became a thing in Germany and I'm looking forward to celebrating St. Patrick's Day and Cinco de Mayo soon in Germany.
