Hello and welcome to the Five Things Curator’s Cut for August 2024 in which you can read five great articles that didn’t make it into the weekly cut. These articles were so good, I had to save them for my most esteemed readers, the ones that pay to read Five Things. If you haven’t subscribed yet, now would be a good time!

So it’s the dog days of summer, at least for a few days here in Northern Germany. We’ve also had lots of rain and wind, or as we call it here: weather. Whether you are on vacation or back in the office, here are five articles for my esteemed subscribers, that will hopefully make your day a bit brighter.

Again, don’t ask me how I found those articles. They found me. I don’t google for bridge projects in Italy, or ADHD at an adult age, or sea urchins on coral reefs, not even Ukrainian art rescuers or Costco travels.

Enjoy! And if you haven’t already switched to a paid subscription, now would be a great time to do it!
