Five Things Curator's Cut: April 2024
April Fool's was yesterday, now this is the good stuff here, without any humor that makes you cringe. I hope.
Hi and welcome to this month’s Five Things Curator’s Cut! I know the concept is a bit weird as I send out Five Things every Sunday and always tell you that these are exactly the five articles you should read that Sunday. In addition to that, I send out Five Things AI, Five Things Tech and Five Things, so basically 20 articles per week that you should read. And now five more. Somehow these five articles didn’t make it into the weekly cut, but are still really good articles that you should read.
As a service for my paid subscribers, I put together this edition of the Five Things Curator’s Cut. These fine folks get to read about people who are critical of the current developments of AI and its impact on society. They also get to read about the good old time on the internet when LAN-parties were still a thing. And about the end of the future, which is the contrast to the end of history. They will learn about smartphones and teens and why Jonathan Haidt has a peculiar way of interpreting the facts. Also, you will learn about running from the pacific coast to Sin City.
If you want to to learn more, just go paid. It’ll make me smile a bit more, promise! 🤠
