Five Things AI: Superpower, Hype, Context-Aware Agents, GPU-as-a-Service, Society
Here we go AIgain!
Heya and welcome back to Five Things AI!
Move fast, break things, worry about humanity later. This is how Trump wants to win the AI race against China. Lots of money will be poured into everything AI, as if the spending spree hasn’t already reached obscene levels. While I too remain bullish on AI, I wonder how many of the current business models behind AI companies can justify these huge investments. The hype is real, that’s for sure. Europe cannot, or doesn’t want to, mobilize these huge billion dollar investments into AI and so we will be left behind when it comes to LLM and datacenters. I’m sure though, that European startups will be able to build upon the groundwork laid by American company and therefore create plenty of good usecases with a distinct European focus.
Masumi is one great example for a European solution that builds upon the groundwork of US companies. Masumi is one of my company’s clients and I am really happy to be working with them as they are developing something truly unique right now. In a nutshell, Masumi is building the infrastructure for the global interchange between AI agents by developing a blockchain-based protocol. Masumi was launched this week during the World Economic Forum in Davos. If you want to learn more, head over to Masumi.network! Or send me an email!
