Among the whole tariffs on and off extravaganza in the last weeks, AI moved into the spotlight as the US administration seeks to outmanoeuvre the Chinese AI companies like DeepSeek by limiting the sale of NVIDIA chips to China. It will be interesting to see how the American crackdown on research institutions and visa holders will change the speed of AI development in the USA. Maybe this could be an interesting new development for Europe, offering great ressources for AI researchers.
