Ah yes, another week in AI land where we're simultaneously being told that AI agents will revolutionize everything forever, while also learning that Google wants us to feel guilty about our ChatGPT addiction because it's apparently going to consume more electricity than Japan by 2030. Meanwhile, a delightfully honest study reveals that despite throwing $30-40 billion at GenAI, 95% of companies are getting exactly zero return on investment (shocking, I know, after this short period of time since the launch of ChatGPT-3), while some brave soul actually tried managing 20 AI agents for a week and discovered the revolutionary insight that humans might be the bottleneck in human-AI collaboration. But don't worry, OpenAI and Anthropic are playing nice together on safety testing, which surely means we're all going to be fine as we rush toward this Agentic AI era.
